Truck driver drags little sedan 4 miles before noticing he had been hit

On Wednesday of this week a little Nissan Maxima rear ended a big rig headed north on the 15 Freeway near Highway 138 in the Cajon Pass of California. While the accident isn’t that unusual the distance over which it occurred is.

The Nissan became wedged underneath the big truck’s rear end and the driver hauling 25 tons of carrots didn’t seem to notice the little car being dragged behind him.

The entire incident was captured on video recorded by Brian Steimke in a trailing car. Watch as Steimke passes the wreck. The Nissan driver gives him a priceless look that asks “can you believe this?” while waving his hands for help.

“They’re dragging the car,” Steimke says in the video that is quickly going viral. “They don’t know what’s going on here. Look at that. Oh my God.”

The car with a camera overtakes the big rig and signals the truck driver to stop. Witnesses told local CBS affiliate KCAL 9 that the car had was dragged for 4 miles.

After being asked why he didn’t stop sooner, the truck driver told Steimke he didn’t know the car was there. “What do you mean you didn’t know it?” Steimke asked. “Dude! He’s on your truck!”

The Nissan driver, 34-year-old Javier A. Diaz Jr. of Oak Hills, California, was uninjured but “a little sore” from the collision. CHP traffic information indicated that the 15 Freeway was clear by 3:40 PM Wednesday afternoon. According to the CHP, this crash was considered a true accident and not a criminal incident.

Don’t tread on this flag.

That’s the message Air Force veteran and former Playboy model Michelle Manhart says she was trying to convey by picking up a damaged flag that protesters had been stomping on in a demonstration at Valdosta State University in southern Georgia on Friday.

But before she could spirit the flag away, police officers intervened to return the Old Glory to the protesters who were trampling it and escort Manhart off the premises, according to a video of the incident Manhart has posted to Facebook.

The video shows her walking away with the flag briefly as police converge. Manhart, who is white, and the protestors, all of whom are African-American, jaw at one another in the taped incident.

We would have to assume that the situation here as the result of what happened when the ship has seen better days and needs to be reverted back to scrap metal. In either case, it’s pretty amazing to watch as this giant vessel built for the water slowly brings its way on to the shore.

Check out the video below that puts you right on the beach near where this is all happening and be sure to tell us what you think of such a crazy situation like this. I’m just imagining what it would be like to be someone standing there on the shore and have no idea what’s going on as this gigantic boat is barreling down on me.

There are some pretty complex and powerful purpose built machines out there, but when we ran into this extreme wood cutting machine, we definitely had to drop what we were doing and take a second look because this thing is downright insane in every way imaginable!

If you think about how many man-hours this would take if someone was out there with an axe and nothing but some elbow grease, it’s incredible to think about just how powerful this machine is as it appears to do all of the above, without even breaking a sweat. This thing is out there and splitting massive hunks of wood into tiny little usable slices, all within minutes.

Check out the video below that showcases the brute of a mechanical monster in action, doing what it does best and turning solid wood into bits and pieces. Be sure to check out the machine and tell us what you think of this monster as it completely manhandles weight that we would’ve never thought possible.

Let’s face it, loud, explosive things are fun, right? Maybe that is just part of the American DNA, but it certainly explains our fascination with fireworks, action movies, and of course, guns.

Sometimes it seems like no other country on Earth has such a romantic affair with firearms.

Well, we just found an awesome YouTube video of a woman shooting the absolute largest handgun manufactured: the Smith and Wesson XVR 460. This gun is so big, it makes “Dirty Harry” look like a sad joke. And you are not going to believe what happens when she actually shoots this thing. You are going to love this video.

This particular gun, the Smith and Wesson XVR 460, is considered to be the top predator of handguns. It is the largest and most powerful handgun produced anywhere in the world. This gun’s muzzle velocity is an astounding twenty-three hundred feet per second.

Cosmetically, it looks somewhat like the .44 Magnum, as seen in the classic “Dirty Harry” movies, except that it is much, much larger. Also, while the .44 has six bullets, the XVR 460 shoots only five. Also, the bullets are much bigger as well. Not really. It actually uses .45 caliber rounds.

But seriously, with a gun like this, isn’t one enough? Just shooting the thing takes quite a bit of stamina and fortitude. As you can see in the video, the pressure wave that is released when the gun fires blows her hair back and the recoil almost knocks her back.

Almost. But as you can see, the shooter in this video has pretty good form and handling skills.

Of course, a precision weapon like this does not come cheap. The manufacturer’s suggested retail price is over thirteen hundred dollars, but this is a gun for the serious sportsman or sportswoman.

Whatever your thoughts are on guns, one thing going to a range and shooting one will instantly demonstrate is how cool they are. Yes, they have a dark purpose and can be terribly destructive in the wrong hands. But for sport shooters and responsible citizens alike, guns are almost a way of life.

Beyond the highly controversial National Rifle Association, there are a number of sport shooting organizations in the United States that help develop handgun and rifle training, and competitive events for those who enjoy making a lot of noise. The National Skeet Shooting Association, United States Practical Shooting Association, The National Shooting Sports Foundation, and the International Defensive Pistol Association all provide courses, competitions, certifications, and more.

While guns and shooting are often associated with the violence that we see on the news each night, it is important to remember that our country has a long and healthy tradition of private gun ownership and that there are many people across all demographic divisions who enjoy shooting, from Annie Oakley to Hunter S. Thompson, and probably your next door neighbor. And while gun manufacturers target men in their ads, women make up an extremely large segment of the market.

Do you enjoy shooting? What kinds of guns do you prefer? Share your thoughts with us here.

In January 2013, Renee Addy’s beloved dad, Glenn, passed away from cancer.

When her boyfriend John proposed, she knew her father would never walk her down the aisle or give her away.

Renee was so excited for the wedding in February 2017, but she wasn’t sure what to do about the traditional father-daughter dance. She anticipated that this part of the wedding reception would be particularly difficult.

But what the bride-to-be didn’t know was that those closest to her were secretly putting together a surprise that took a year to plan. If Glenn couldn’t be there, then the other significant men in Renee’s life would step in and dance with her on her wedding day in Tacoma, Washington.

In the video below, watch as the beautiful bride dances to Céline Dion’s rendition of “Dance with My Father,” joined by the important men in Renee and Glenn’s lives, including her three brothers, uncle and Glenn’s best friend.

When Renee realized what was going on, she broke down in tears right there on the dance floor. And there is no doubt that her dad was watching the whole time; she was even wearing dancing shoes with a photo of him on each foot.

Private security forces open fire on Somali pirates trying to hijack their ship

When most people think about pirates they imagine tri-corner hats, parrots, and peg legs. The reality is a lot less Disney friendly.

Pirates are still very real, but they’re typically searching for easy ransom payments instead of buried treasure.

Now merchant ships traveling within 250 miles off the coasts of East Africa employ private security forces.

The video below show the body camera footage taken from a shooter from Trident Security repelling Somali pirates. It’s not clear in the video, but a warning shot from the security team was answered with gunshots from the pirates.

Now the security team goes weapons free and a direct hit on the pirate skiff sends the would-be boarders crashing into the big ship’s hull.
