US Old School Industrial Forging

Forging, like the rolling and extrusion , is a manufacturing process of objects formed by plastic deformation it can be performed hot or cold and wherein the deformation of the material occurs by the application of forces of compression .

This process is used to give a shape and certain properties to the metals and alloys to which it is applied by means of great pressures. The deformation can be done in two different ways: by pressure , using continuous presses , or by impact intermittently using hammers.

It notes that a forming process of metals in which there occurs boot chip , thus an important saving of material compared to other processes, such as occurs machining .
